As you all know, we are moving along with the Murthi Sthapna program at the Aasamai Mandir in Hicksville.  Lord Ganesha has already been shrined at the Temple.

Our next sthapna will be of Shivling scheduled for Sunday July 15, 2007 as per the following program.

Necessary rituals before Sthapna have begun since this Sunday.  The remaining rituals are as follows:

Tuesday July 10th 6:00 to 8:00 PM - Shivling will be purified (washed) with Dahee (Yougart), followed by Swami V. Anand’s Pravachan

Wedsday    July 11th 6:00 to 8:00 PM - Shivling will be purified (washed) with Ghee

Thursday July 12th 6:00 to 8:00 PM – Shivling will be purified with Madhu (Honey)

Friday    July 13th 6:00 to 8:00 PM – Shivling will be purified with Sugar, followed by Swami V Anand’s Pravchan

Saturday July 14th 6:00 to 8:00 PM – Shivling will be offered Ann (Food), followed by Swami V Anand’s Pravchan

On Sunday, July 15th Shivling’s Sthapne will start at 10:00AM with a Kalash Parikrama followed by Pran Pratishta ritual between 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.  After the Shivling Sthapna a brief pravachan by Swami V Anand followed by Kirtan and Bhajan.  ALL days Langar will be arranged after Aarti.
